Dominic de Guzman in the 13th century. It is still heard today by the Dominican
Sister, Congregation of Holy Cross. |

The first Dominicans were called to be
"champions of the faith and true lights of the world." Mindful of our
contemporary world, we preach the gospel in word and in deed. We proclaim the
liberating message of Christ and work so that all who are oppressed may have the freedom
of the people of God.

| We are a group of women who have joined together
to continue the journey of following Christ in a faith community which we began at
baptism. We have responded to the gift of a religious vocation as our way to live to
the fullest the promise we have made to God, the Church, the people and to each other. |
