The room was decorated with beautiful banners of Dominican Saints painted by Sisters Rosaire McAuliffe and Mary Irene Walker.  Shown here are Saints Martin de Porres and Rose of Lima.  Sister Karen Rossman is facing the camera.

The Dominic and Catherine banners graced the central meeting space.

Besides the prayers of our Adrian Sisters we had a special candle to let us know that our Tacoma Dominican Sisters were also with us in Spirit.  The banner represents Fra Angelico, the patron saint of artists.

Mothers Benedicta Bauer of Holy Cross Monastery in Regensburg, Angela Phelan, a beloved Provincial, and Guillelma Stafford, our first Prioress General, were remembered in photographs.

In a solomn and expectant atmosphere the  votes are tallied by Sisters Jean Marie Lehtinen and Judy Byron, and recorded by Sister Joanne McCauley.

Sister Janet Capone, Prioress of the Dominican Sisters of Adrian and her General Council arrive in the evening to celebrate a banquet with the Dominican Sisters of Edmonds.  Here she greets Sr. Ann Schafer (in blue).

After a momentous day the banquet provides much needed relaxation and refreshment.

Sisters Fidelis Halpin, Irene Walker and Rosaire McAuliffe turn their attention to the after-dinner entertainment.

May Saints Dominic and Catherine and all those who went before us in the Province of St. Rose and the Congregation of Holy Cross be with us and watch over us.
